There is a lot of jealousy on the net ! when people see a site have succes they do things like that...and hope it will not stop you from doing further cheers Krivos
Money being the root of all evil, there're many out there who are against a free-sharing community but we shall overcome.

Now that is sad. I would have assumed that anybody that went out of their way and managed to find the forum in the first place would have been a fan. To find it and then proceed to get it closed down is pitiful. Never mind, as you said, some people are devious.
Cheers

Terrible how a good thing can get reduced by one or two jokers. I guess that's the ways of the world. Knowing the truth sometimes hurts, but it is better than ignorance a wise man might tell you.
But unfortunately there is always some ignorant person ready to make you swerve from your path for no other reason than that. So, may the serious moonlight guide us in the darkness and keep us on track!

It is very sad. But whoever/whatever won't keep us down :)
As we've said before a phoenix will rise from the ashes of a live review.
And i'm pleased to report that we are up to 230 posts. But still a long way to go.
I was wondering where the forum went. Hope you can get it back up and running soon. I don't know why someone would want to shut you down (other than the obvious copyright thing, although nothing on the site was officially released...well not the majority of it anyway).
Hello Cygne & fatwhiteduke .....hello everyone,This is not the jealousy is blame money ........
There are people who are not happy to see a site of free trade.
Such a shame that someone would go out of their way to do something so destructive.not only to you Cygnet & FWD, But also to the dedicated followers of the forum. Really looking forward to your awakening ... All the best..Mark (Monkeybobbin)
Sad to hear this happened. The only question that pops up right now is: why?
You might consider some sort of protection. Not letting everybody join in for example.
Good luck !!

Some people should be banned from the world wide web!!
Hi Guys, been away again and have literally just found out what's happened!
Really sorry and very gutted for you both as you put some much time, effort and love into what you did. However, it's great to see you both picking yourselves up and bouncing back again.
I can never quite understand why there seems to be a tiny element of people out there who try and close down a site that's patently up there for fans of a particular artist and is obviously very well managed and controlled. The site was fantastic and there were some real gems on it that I had never come across before hence it was always a thrill to log in to see what had been put up there by you both. Anyway, nuff said, I wish you both every success in your new venture.
Don't let the b'stards grind you down! :-)
The only real surprise is that it didn't happen sooner, why and why, several reasons, Firstly there are people making a lot of money from selling Bowie boots, (eBay etc) it's probably hurting them in the pocket, also There are those who have all these gigs but don't like the idea of other folk collecting (they like to think they're exclusive) and finally those who (think) they hang with the man himself website examples happily supplied...
The problem with collecting things like bootlegs there is a massive snobbery - be it rare shows, sound quality etc. Everyone seems to have an opinion and not see that others have their own. Like people thinking poorly cleaned up versions are superior to recordings in their natural state ;) Really sorry for the loss of this site - I was there from the start of the blog version! Looking forward to the next stage. Sailor.
Just a short shout out to the best Bowie site on the net
Nooo! Best Bowie site on the net...maybe even one of the best boot sites. Shame on the inconsiderate fool. However, I hope i gets up and running again very soon.
Cheers, Glass.
After all difficulties - Im sure you two can make something much better and larger than old one was.
Im sure about that one.
All the best to you.
Regards

looking forward to seeing you back again a.s.a.p,thanx for even considering returning, the amount of work you both have to put in.Lidge84
Well, now.. It is truly disappointing to pay a visit to my favorite site on the web and see update no 23. Some of us (who already own anything and everything official from DB/bought tickets to live shows over the years/paid for god knows what else in the name of the man) truly appreciate the vast wealth of DB curiosities once found here. The big labels constantly repackage the same thing and sell it over and over again. Most of the stuff that was here really only mattered to a handful of us anyways, and because labels wouldn't release this material (it was never meant to be released anyways) we would never have a chance to enjoy the shows or obscure demos that big honchos would only otherwise be interested in if Bowie passed away (god forbid, but true, no?) I can't believe this little piece of fandom is gone. This was as good as it gets folks. Such a pity. Thanks to those who contributed to a very special experience.

Lost your email to me and just wanted to check in to see what's what. This is such a drag. Email me via Yahoo when you get a sec. And keep in touch. js.
Loved the site. One of the best around!
If it isn't Big Brother watching us then it is some snitch complaining at Proboards.
With such people around, it makes you think what the future will be like. Even George Orwell couldn't have foreseen such a grim vision of the future.
