It seems that this morning the forum was shut down by proboards,maybe for violation of there terms of service.
If this is the case then we have lost all data. (We have the megaupload links still). As you can appreciate it will take time to get a new forum up & running.
All i can say is that you watch this space for futher information.

Sorry to see your forum shut down. Though I didn't use it for downloads, you guys did a tremendous job for many Bowie collectors worldwide who could download great concerts :-)

Oh no, so sorry to hear about that! You both put so much effort into the forum, what a shame that they closed it down. Your work was much appreciated by so many collectors, it was a great source of information. Thank you again for the great job!

I do hope the pair of you can get it up and running again, as anyone could see, it provided a great service to everyone with an interest in the 'Dame'. A sad day for us all. Ah this is such a shame, all your very hard work down the drain in seconds. You were not doing anything illegal but as you said Cygnet, you are not the first and you won't be the last. You mentioned that you needed a break the other day, on one of your last posts Cygnet, so after all this could be a good time to take one. It would have been much better of course if you took a break and all your data remained safe and in place but obviously it wasn't to be.... oh well. Please let me know if you and Fatwhiteduke need any help. I am really sorry for what happened. You are both amazing.

Too bad about the forum Cyg. Lots of hard work from your good self and FWD.
My advice is to carry on with the blog, but if you want, consider making it private/invitation only. Quite a few blogs are going that way. You send invitations out to your existing ‘Followers“. You will be below the radar, and find you will not be bothered by party poopers.

One further bit of advice: Stay well away from anything Official.
Things have really tightened up all over. The 1976 03 23 Uniondale Nassau 76 show is soon to get an official release with the remastered Station To Station. The powers that be will be on the look out for that one, blog-wise. I'd take it down if it was me, no sense the whole blog going tits up just for that. Its available elsewhere, and most people have it anyway…
I am Absolutely Gutted for both of you, and, every one else who followed this forum. I don't understand the reasons behind this shutdown. It was just live recordings being passed from fan to fan, nothing ever being an official release. Please!!! Please!! Return... But at your own time your forum, and the work that you put in, would be well worth waiting for, how ever long it takes. someone mentioned an invitation only.??? As i said before, we have mega/4shared upload links still. So it's a case of shifting through them and inputting all the data again.
It's a long task and will take time, so patience is the case here.
Some uploads will be gone and some will have official tracks taken out of them. Therefore it will be upto you to fill in the gaps.
We are looking at September time to go live with "the phoenix", as it's the summer holiday time and i won't be at home much. If we are ready earlier then thats ok we will go live.

This is a real downer. What C & FWD had was what was fast becoming THE best Bowie resource on the web.

A Bowie phpBB forum may be worth considering. A lot of fan forums use phpBB format. Any live stuff could be put in a boot section which is not shown on the forum homepage, again like other forums. You may need full time mods though.

Really sorry to hear about the site going down,Do you think there could have been a judas within ,as i know i'm an old sinick ,but the timeing is so dodgy,when you sent out the message to people who were not using there page it would be removed in a week.

Like all the others who were enjoying the forum, I am upset to hear that the powers-that-be-getting-it-wrong decided to shut the forum down.
I am more upset for you and FWD, as you had put so much time and effort into organizing and maintaining the forum... please know that everything you two did is and always will be appreciated. You shared some amaazing shows that I did not even know existed, and many that I did know of but never thought I would ever get to hear.
I hope you will be able to rise again but hope you can enjoy a summer break first...
You know we will be waiting so please take time out and relax and enjoy the summer and fingers crossed that you will be able to come back with another site or forum or whatever format it may be.
Once again, a huge thanks to the both of you, and also to all others who shared shows... you all rock, I love you all :)
