Was actually at this show. The Station to Station opening with dramatic banks of intense white lighting towers cutting through a billowing fog from the smoke machines behind the stage was just awesome. My favorite Bowie moment ever. Thanks for the souvenir! And greetings from New York!!!
Never heard of this one so thanks very much for sharing! Anonymous from New York's memory of the gig is exactly the same as mine when I saw him twice at Wembley in May 1976. It was my first ever gig and it was absolutely awesome. There were people arriving dressed as Ziggy which was amazing to a (very) green 16 year old. My two mates decided that they didn't like the music so they propped up the bar but I was spellbound with the spectacle unfolding in front of me. I managed to get a ticket for his last night at Wembley that week and have been hooked ever since.
Are you sure that this recording is the madison square garden - new york concert? The audience's chatter during 'Life on mars' sounds like some scandinavium language to me.
