Great to get all these shows - well done and keep it up.
However, I have doubts about this Detroit show - I think its the Tampa show with the announcement at the beginning missing (and a few little nips and tucks here and there too)... There's some quite distinctive talking in the audience in a few places on the Tampa show (including at the very beginning), and this seems to include them all.
Anyone have any other thoughts?
I think you're right anonymous. The two shows sound the same although the 'Detoit' show is a bit clearer and a little bit 'faster'. However, listening to Panic in Detroit, the ending of it is a fraction different to the 'Tampa' show. Tampa ends with a bell, Detroit doesn't so I wonder if there's been a bit of mixing and matching of shows here?
Still doesn't stop the fact that these are great shows from a very productive time of his career.
The venue is supposed to be Ford Auditorium.
Did you withdraw this one for that reason? Interesting that you makes these comparisons--I couldn't say with this, but I've heard other recordings of the same concert by other artists that sound like entirely different concerts.
